I hope you have had  wonderful Christmas – it seems to have gone so quickly!  If one of you new year’s resolutions is to do more crafting, then this challenge is just the ticket to kick off the new year.

I am fortunate enough to have the December kits to work with.  They are absolutely delightful!  Jam packed with gorgeous goodies.

I used the snowflake stencil from the Color kit to decorate the edge of the patterned paper.  I firstly used ink to add colour then used Glacier paste from the November Color kit to add sparkle.

The paste goes on white, but when it dries, it is a shiny silver colour – so pretty!  I had originally intended to add die-cut snowflakes all around the edge, but the mixed media was too pretty to cover up!

I created a border of die-cut snowflakes below my photos.  Hip Kit Club have a range of gorgeous dies this month.  They cut through cardstock like butter and are brilliant for a never ending supply of snowflakes and textured elements.

I added puffy and cardstock stickers from the Pocket Life and Embellishment kits as well as sequins to add interest to the border.
