Hello, friends! I’m excited to share my new layout featuring the October 2022 Hip Kits. For this Product Focus Wednesday, I have focused on the patterned paper found in the October Main Kit! The patterns and colors are simply gorgeous, and I loved emphasizing those on this layout. I used many different patterned papers, and they all work beautifully together!
I started by cutting hexagons out of seven different patterned papers from the October Main Kit. Six of the patterns served as the top layers, and the teal pattern served as the base for all of them. I distressed the edges of each hexagon and adhered them cascading down the page.
I added hand-stitching between all of the hexagons to add detail and a pop of color. The embroidery thread coordinates with the mustard yellow found in the October kits and has a touch of shine.
I used the metal dies from the October kits to cut these sweet pumpkins and stems. I ran the pumpkins through the Sizzix Texture Boutique to add the hexagon embossing to coordinate with the layout.
I loved creating these floral clusters using the new Floral Cluster stamp in the October kit, along with gold foiled stickers, clear stickers, and ephemera that I trimmed the white edges off of. behind the clusters on the bottom right of the layout, I added a layer of Bahama Mama Inklingz from Shimmerz Paints (found in the September Color Kit to add a touch of color and sparkle!
I used more patterned paper, ephemera, and chipboard stickers and frames to draw your eye to my sweet photos, with lots of layers of goodness from the kits!
