Hi everyone Anke here with a new mixed media layout inspiration featuring the gorgeous October Hip Kits. The assignment for this layout was to incorporate the “Pumpkin Stamps & Dies Set” and I had so much fun, working with it.
I wanted to have pumpkin shaped photos, so I chose photos in a size that matched the size of the pumpkin die. I placed the die on the photo and run it through my Big Shot. To get a white frame, I placed the die on white cardstock and followed the outline of the die with a pencil. Then I cut it out and glued the photo on the cardstock pumpkin. Finally I cut out the stem and the leaf and added them to my photo pumpkins. I really love how this turned out.
I cut out two more pumpkins from white cardstock and colored them using ink pads and blending brushes.
Then I stamped on one of the pumpkins using the “Happy Halloween” stamp.
I cut strips from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Fall in Love – Autumn Splendor andCorn Maze papers , folded them and placed them in the middle of my page. Then I adhered the photos and the pumpkins . To add more mixed media accents I applied ink on both sides of the folded paper strips using a blending brush and the stencil which was included in the August Color Kit.
I picked out some of the “Fall in Love – Fall Leaf & Icon Die Cuts” with gold foil accents, which are included in the October Embellishment Kit and added them to my layout. For the title I chose one of the “Fall in Love – Chipboard Frames & Accents Stickers”, which you can find in the October Main Kit.
Then I fussy cut leaves and branches from the “Fall in Love – Leaf Tumble” paper and added them to my page. I also added some hand stitching.
I continued embellishing the layout with more chipboard stickers from the Main Kit, the Pocket Life Kit and the Embellishment Kit and finished with some Nuvo Drops from my stash.
I hope you like the layout and feel inspired to add some mixed media accents to your projects and to try the Stamps & Dies Set.
