Hello Hip Kit friends, Anke here with you today, sharing a new mixed media layout inspiration.

 

 

I got the assignment to create a grid layout and to use mixed media to create the base. So I started with the background of my page. Therefore I used the yellow Wild Dandelion and the Tranquil Teal ink pads and the stencil which are included in the April Color Kit.

 

 

I applied the ink on a sheet of palette paper (you can also use a piece of foil instead), mixed the ink with modeling paste and applied it on my layout using the stencil.

 

 

I decided to make layered tags for my grid , so I cut out some of the tags on the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Chasing Dreams – Celebrate Life paper and combined them with tags of the same size which I cut from a piece of cardstock on which I had applied modeling paste using a stencil from a previous Color Kit.

 

 

I embellished my photo with one of the chipboard frames which are included in the April Main Kit and placed it on one of the tags.

 

 

For my title I chose two word die cuts from the ephemera pack ,which is also included in the April Main Kit and placed them on another tag.

 

 

I wrote my Journaling on another die cut , placed on a third tag, which I embellished with pink twine.

 

 

On the other three tags I placed one of the fabric pockets which are included in the April Embellishment Kit, another chipboard frame and lots of flowers which I fussy cut from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Chasing Dreams – Keep Shining paper.

 

 

 

I continued embellishing the tags with chipboard pieces and floral die cuts, (both included in the April Embellishment Kit, puffy stickers from the April Pocket Life Kit and more die cuts.

Finally I pulled pink twine through the eyelets of the tags and attached the ends.
