Hi friend! Each week there is a fabulous challenge that you can take part in on our Facebook Group.  They are a great way to start a layout and be in with a chance to win $10 to spend in the store.  This week is a Recipe Challenge – you will need to include all the items in the receipe on your layout.

I do love a recipe as a starting point and my layout certainly ticks all the boxes.

I used the Hip Kit circle dies to cut out lots of patterned paper – I really like the stitched detail.

The Hip Kit dies are also great for cutting out a photo too.  I tucked in ephemera around and under the main circle to draw attention to the photo.

One technique I like to use on a layout is to create a pocket to store my journaling and ephemera.  I stuck the photo matt on 3 sides allowing me to tuck in 3 tags.

I did cheat slightly on the fonts – I have used 3 fonts for my title but 2 were readymade words.  I adore the fabric  words  – I matted mine onto blue cardstock for added oomph!

For more interest, I trimmed down my lemon background and mounted it onto the patterned paper – I love this effect!
