Hello everyone!  Today I want to show you the beauty of tone-on-tone embellishing and how to use your papers in a different way.  For my project, I used the beautiful products included in our February 2022 Hip Kits.  There are so many pretty colors and patterns in these kits.  For this page  I started with the Pinkfresh Studio – Happy Days paper and cut out the beautiful rainbow paint strip part. Then I cut this piece into strips and glued them to my page slightly offset to make it more interesting. Under the orange / coral section I also applied a little bit of mixed media using the Shimmerz Sun Kissed Inklings from the February Color Kit.

In my stash I found matching thread to stitch down the blue, yellow, orange and pink sections of the rainbow for more texture. The design of the paper makes it easy to arrange photos and embellishments. I went through all the kits to find color matching embellishments and fussy cut some little flowers and butterflies from the papers.

Everything was placed on the page according to color, moved around a lot until I was happy with the arrangement. I tried to find different elements from the kits, like chipboard, clear and puffy stickers, to have an interesting mix of embellishments. Tone-on-tone embellishing is an easy way to quickly record your memories and have fun doing so.
