Hello Hip Kit friends !

 

Sophie with you for Cut File Tuesday ! I am sharing a layout created with the February 2022 Hip Kits !

 

 

I used the « Sweet Life » Subscriber cut file designed by the talented Morag Cutts. I cut it on white cardstock. 

 

I fussy cut the GORGEOUS Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart Happy Days Paper and used it to back my cut file. Instead of fussy cutting around the cut file, I let the patterned paper hang around it. I cut each color strip in different lengths, and curled them up.

 

 

I did a back stitch on each letter of the cut file with white embroidery floss. I think it adds a soft detail and it makes the word « sweet » stand out beautifully. 

 

 

I tuck my black and white photo under the curled strips, mounted it on tissue paper and the back side of that same Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart Happy Days Paper. I also added two Pocket cards behind the photo for more layers and textures. 

 

I decorated my page with a few Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart Chipboard Stickers, Happy Heart Floral Ephemeras and HKC Exclusive Love Always Clear Stickers, all from the February Embellishment kit. 

 

 

Finally, I placed a few butterflies and Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart Enamel Dots (February Main kit) as the finishing touch.

Backing a cut file can be done in so many different ways ! I showed you today another idea that gives dimension and a lot of interest to the page.
