Hi creative friends!!! Jennifer here today with a new layout featuring the October 2021 Hip Kits. I was inspired by the stunning November Moodbord created by the talented Melanie Baier-Goessl. Here is this Moodboard:
And here is my interpretation from these images:
I spotted the superb color combo, the foliage and also the bouquet of Lagurus Ovatus (if I’m not mistaken!). I love dried flowers and it turns out that during a walk where I took the photos of this page by the way, I picked up a bouquet of its flowers. So I used it for my layout, it was really the opportunity!
So I first printed six photos to make a grid design. I sanded the edges of the photos and then glued them to the center of my page. With white Gesso I bleached the edges of grid so that it blends into the page. I love this effect and this aspect. I then recreated the brick walls that are in the photos. With a brick stencil from my reserve, I added this pattern in the upper left and lower right corner with Modeling Paste mixed with several inks to manage to have the same color as in the photos. I can’t say exactly what inks I used for this because I used so many to get there! I then bleached some bricks with white Gesso to bring light and for a more real effect I find!
I then added writing patterns with a stamp of my reserve and black ink. I applied the stamp on the bricks and along the photos. I selected several Die Cuts leaves from the Embellishment kit based on the Moodboard color combo and cross-checked the edges of these leaves to no longer have the white outline and for a more real effect!
I then made two bouquets of leaves by integrating in the Lagurus Ovatus. I love adding natural elements to my layouts! I then glued these bouquets in the corners of my page, on the bricks. I added a small pine cone to each end of the bouquets that I bleached with Gesso and a Chipboard heart from the main kit.
I then added the title “Stay Wild, Moon Child” made with the Puffy Stickers alphabet of the main kit too. I placed it in the corners of the grid to frame this grid a little more and because I found this place great! I added a few Chipboards on the title and in the center of the grid. And I couldn’t resist using Wood Veneer leaves from the main kit that I inserted into the bouquets.
I finished this layout with splashes of black ink to bring contrast and to harmonize everything and especially because I like it a lot! I really had fun making this page especially to make these small bouquets of leaves!
I really hope you enjoyed this layout and inspired you to create something today with this so inspiring Moodboard! Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a beautiful day full of creativity!
