Hi everyone, Anke here sharing a new Friday Challenge layout inspiration featuring the September Hip Kits. This week we have a lift challenge and the layout we lift is this one, designed by Andrea Lake:
In addition to the lift challenge I got a special design team prompt: no white cardstock. This was really challenging because I like to have white space on my layouts. But being kicked out of our comfort zone is what we need from time to time and I’m really happy with how my layout turned out.
I love the circular design of Andrea’s layout and I decided to create a Fall wreath. I started with fussy cutting lots of leaves and branches from the Pinkfresh Studio – The Best Day – Hello Fall paper and the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – September Days – So Many Reasons paper. For my layout background I chose the back side of the Hello Fall paper. I cut out the inner circle and the flowers from the Pinkfresh Studio – The Best Day – Love You Always paper and placed the circle on my page. Then I arranged the leaves and branches around the circle. I punched out more leaves from the Hello Day paper and the Pinkfresh Studio – The Best Day – Cozy Day paper and added them to the wreath. I used foam pads to adhere them to create a more dimensional look.
Then I added the fussy cut flowers.
I layered my photo with one of the fabric pockets which are included in the September Main Kit and some of the Pinkfresh Studio – The Best Day – Ephemera Die Cuts, which are also included in the September Main Kit. Then I placed it in the center of my wreath.
I embellished the wreath with more die cuts, one of the Pinkfresh Studio cardstock stickers and one of the Pinkfresh Studio chipboard flairs. The cardstock stickers are included in the September Pocket Life Kit and the chipboard flairs are included in the September Embellishment Kit.
Then I added the title, which is made with the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – September Days – Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers from the September Main Kit and I finished off with some of the Hip Kit Club Exclusive Mini Phrase and Floral Clear Stickers and some Pinkfresh Studio enamel dots, both included in the September Pocket Life Kit.
I had so much fun creating this layout and I hope you feel inspired to play along with our challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Anke xx
