Welcome to the HKC blog today! It’s Josefine here on mixed media Monday sharing with you a new scrapbook layout using the beautiful August 2021 hip kits. For this layout I used two HKC cut files. I grabbed a white piece of cardstock and cut out the circle cutfile calls ” So Happy” with my Cricut Maker” Behind the “So Happy” words I place a design paper from the August main kit. I stitched a circle through the words with white sewing thread and used my sewing machine for this.
I color some words “So Happy” with the pink color dye ink from the August 2021 color kit and I placed these back on my layout by using 3D tape. I stamp with the yellow color also from the August 2021 color kit several times on the white background in the center of the layout. For this technique I use the background stamp from the HKC July 2021 color kit. I cut a circle out of the yellow design paper and placed my round photo on top and placed it both in the center of the layout. I fussy cut 4 mandalas from the design paper and place them behind the photo.
I mix the yellow and pink dye ink together to make the color orange. I use the fun stencil of the oranges. I cut them out and stitch them with yellow sewing thread and place the oranges randomly as die-cuts.
I cut another cutfile “So Much Fun!” I cut the title with my Cricut Maker and color the title together with my blending tool and the pink dye ink. I used other Alpha’s from previous HKC kits and so my title is complete. The title for this layout is “She is so much fun!” I love how everything comes together so nicely. I mix white acrylic paint with water and with my watercolor brush I make splatters on my layout. It looks so festive. I love it.
I hope I was able to inspire you with this cheerful and colorful layout. I had a lot of fun making this mixed media layout and with the beautiful ink colors from the August 2021 color kit.
