Hello everyone, it’s Vicki here today to share my layout for Mixed Media Monday using the gorgeous, exclusive July 2021 kits.

I started by using the three colours of Shimmerz in the July Color Kit – Jeni-B-Blue Vibez, Berry Hot Creameez and Sun Kissed Inklingz. Using the packaging technique, I smooshed them onto the page. I had no gesso, but I used thick white cardstock and it held the liquid well. I also used the stamp in the color kit to create some extra texture in the pink. You can’t really see the pattern as I used paint instead of water but it does add some interest.

I used some of the inner frames from the chipboard frames set and stuck them randomly to the gorgeous watercolour effect paper and then cut them out and stuck down over the mixed media.

I used watered down white acrylic paint to do some splatters all over the hexagons to add a bit of extra interest.

I layered up some florals in the Build a Bloom pack from the Embellishment Kit  and placed around the page – these really bought the whole layout to life.

I finished by layering my photo with some Pocket Life cards and added a few other embellishments around the page in coordinating colours. I used the wonderful puffy alpha for my title and the layout was complete.
