CUT FILE TUESDAY | HOME MADE | MORAG CUTTS

Hi friends.  I have had some fun creating with the beautiful and exclusive cut files which are free to subscribers! The gorgeous mix of patterns and elements in the July kits were perfect to document a fun cooking activity. We were at a ‘Downton Abbey’ style of stately home when the kids got invovled in some cooking the old fashioned way.

To begin with, I used the striking wooden plank paper as my background.  I made slits along the ‘planks’ here and there and distressed the edges.  This adds real texture and a shabby-chic effect.  I mounted this onto the coral cardstock from the Cardstock Kit for added punch.

The Home Made cut-file was glued onto the rainbow coloured check paper.  I adore the mix of colours and the texture.  I simply fussy cut around the outside and used a craft knife to cut out the inner elements.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves fom the True Essence paper – it has a lovely denim-like finish.

The stunning acetate heart was cut from the Clear Mixed Media stickers (July Embellishment kit).  I adore the colours and texture of these stickers.  I mixed in the alphas and wood veneer from the Pocket Life kit to complete my sub-title.

To finish, I splattered lots of acrylic paint here and there which helps to add to the distressed look of the whole page.

I hope you like the texture and colours of this page as much as I do.  Thank you so much for stopping by.
