Hey everyone! This is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and here my first layout using the July 2021 Kits – these kits are BEAUTIFUL! I love the colour palette so much and the summer vibes. Today I have been inspired by the Moodboard designed by Melissa and I have used an exclusive cut file. I have also created a process video which you can see at the end of this post.

I started off with white card and the beautiful pale pink zig zag patterned paper. I trimmed the paper down, distressed the edges and added it centrally to my cardstock. I added splatters of white paint to the background.

I cut the cut file three times from Marshmallow cardstock in three different sizes. I then painted the cut files with the Berry Hot and Sunkissed Shimmerz paints from the July Color Kit. I then covered the cut files with embossing ink and sprinkled them with clear sparkle embossing powder. I heat embossed these and the finish is spectacular! So pretty and sparkly. I can’t take credit for this idea…I was totally inspired by the amazing Jennifer Rambert, so thank you Jennifer for the inspiration!

I attached the three cut files to the middle of the layout and machine stitched then in place. I then added my photo together with a journaling card from the Pocket Life kit. I added lots of flowers from the Build a Bloom pack and a title from the puffy stickers.

The moodboard inspired me all the way through this layout: the mandala cut file is to represent the top left image, the hazy pink, yellow and orange colour scheme was inspired by the sun set photo. I painted the cut file with paint because there is paint on the moodboard.  I also added a butterfly which was inspired by the butterfly picture and I have used the word Summer for my title, inspired by the phrase on the moodboard.

I finished off with a few phrase stickers on the left side of the layout and a few puffy hearts.
