Moodboard challenge layout using April 2021

Hi everyone, today I want to share my take on this week’s moodboard challenge using the April 2021 kits.

I was inspired by the overall spring feel of the moodboard and wanted to include bunnies, rainbows and butterflies on my layout – why not, right? I started by using the fab Carta Bella stencil which is in the April Color Kit and the three Nuvo inks in Lotus Flower, Mint Macaroon and Powdered Peach, which coordinate so well together as a base for my layout. I love how stencilled images look on textured white cardstock.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

I wanted to do some layers around my photos, so I used the watercolour effect paper from Carefree by Heidi Swapp for some torn strips, some white tissue paper and I also used the packaging from the Nuvo inks which you can just see peeking out below the photos.

I used lots of different embellishments – stickers, puffy stickers and chipboard from the Maggie Holmes Garden Party collection and some die cuts from the Simple Stories Bunnies & Blooms collection to layer around my photo – you’ll see the butterfly, bunnies and rainbow that I promised!

I finished with some of the puffy hearts from Maggie Holmes, Crystals from Prima and the fab black alpha that are included in the April Main Kit.

I hope my layout inspires you for the challenge – don’t forget to check out the other design team examples on YouTube and the Facebook Group where you will see all the details of the challenge. Thanks so much for looking, Vicki x
