Hi everyone, it’s Vicki here today to share my latest layout for Mixed Media Monday using the February 2021 kits.
I started with one of the exclusive papers with a subtle grey diagonal pattern and cut the Love cut file from it centrally on the page. Then using white thread, I stitched around each letter to add some extra texture.

Then I took a sheet of 12×12 watercolour paper from my stash and marked out where each letter would go. I wanted to do each in a different colour to add a rainbow effect.
I started with the L and used the Razzledazzle Berry Vibez and a little Dandy-Lion Creameez from the February Colour Kit. Once this was done and the the patterned paper was layered on, I also added some of the clear mixed media stickers from the Embellishment Kit to add an extra bit of mixed media effect.
I did the V in blue using Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz, Oakie Bear Blue Inklingz and Snow Way Man Vibez (the latter two from older kits). I also added a mixed media clear sticker cut in half. Finally, I did the yellow E using Dandy-Lion Creameez and Meet Me at Sunset. I did some splatters over all three in a mix of the colours.
The O was a mix of all of the colours just to give a hint of colour behind my photo. I finished embellishing with tone on tone embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio and Simple Stories.
