Hey Hip Kit friends, It’s Katarina here with another inspiration for you created from the super gorgeous February Hip Kits. Today is Product Focus Wednesday and I will be focusing mainly on the Pinkfresh Studio Patterned Papers and cut apart paper and floral ephemera. Let’s see what I created.
I used one of the pretty but very subtle exclusive patterned papers as my background and I added torn stripes of the Pinkfresh Studio Fresh Flowers paper to both sides of my layout. I wanted to have some messy borders and draw more attention to my photo. The story I am documenting today is of me, waiting for my Covid-19 test to be taken and the fact that at the time of the photo being taken, I had been already positive, but needed three tests to find that out. Those times were not the best for me, but I wanted the layout to be as optimistic as possible and these kits were just perfect for that!
I cut the Pinkfresh Studio What a Day cut apart sheet to individual pieces and used as many of them as I could. Some of them behind the photo as layers and two of them had perfect sentiments and I placed them down below my photo.
Finally, I cut the rainbow in blue tones into pieces, hand stitched with matching shades of blue embroidery thread, distressed the edges and placed it next to my photo.
I embellished my layout with a mix of Pinkfresh Studio floral die cuts, Chipboard Flair, Simple Stories Chipboard Stickers (Main Kit), Mixed Media Clear Stickers, Die Cut Tag (Embellishment Kit) and fussy cut florals from the Pinkfresh Fresh Flowers papers. For my title I used both Pinkfresh Studio alphabets (Main Kit, Pocket Life Kit). Here are some more close up shots.
And this is the final layout.
I love how it turned out. All the elements in the kits worked so well together, it really made me happy creating with them. Hope you found some inspiration in my today’s post. Wishing you a wonderful and crafty day!
