Hello Hip Kit Friends !

 

It’s Sophie on the blog today and I’ve got a mini album to share !

 

 

Everything I used to create this album comes from the February 2021 Hip Kits. 

 

I started by creating the base for my album. I cut the Tutu Pink Bazzil Cardstock  (Cardstock Kit) down to 6”x 12”  and scored it at 3”, 3 3/4”, 7 3/4”, 8 1/2” and 11 1/2”. I added pieces of patterned papers on the main 3 inner portions of the album with the HKC Exclusive Heartfelt Love Connection Paper (Paper Kit) and added a decorative straight stitch with yellow thread. I also added two stips of the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Some Days What a Day Paper (Paper kit) on which I did a zig zag stitch with the same thread. 

 

 

Once open, on the left inner side of the album, I created an accordion with the Pinkfresh Studio Some Days Friendly Daisies Paper that I cut 10 1/2” wide x 6” up. I scored it at 2”, 4 1/2” and 7 1/2”, and adhered it to my album. I decorated the two sides of this folded patterned paper with cute selfies of me and my daughter and some embellishments from the February kits and hold it in place with a blue paperclip.

 

 

 

 

For the right side of the album, I created a little pocket with the same Pinkfresh Studio Some Days  Friendly Daisies Paper. I inserted three little tags with more photos and wrote a little bit of journaling on a beautiful HKC Exclusive Heartfelt Die Cut Tags from the Embellishment Kit.

 

 

On the centre portion of my album, I punched a hole and put a metal ring on the back cover.

 

I created 7 tags cut out of the Bazzill Tutu Pink Cardstock, Coral Cream Cardstock and White Cardstock (Cardstock Kit). Each tag is 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”. I machine stitched around each with yellow thread and punched a hole to insert them in the metal ring. 

 

 

I decorated each tag with Pocket Life cards (Pocket Life Kit) and other black and white selfies, as well as plenty of cute embellishments from the February Main Kit, Pocket Life Kit and Embellishments Kit. I also wrote a secret note on the back of my last tag for my little Sabrina.

 

 

Finally, I sticked a yellow ribbon from my stash around my album and decorated the front. I added a title with a mix of the Pinkfresh Studio Some Days Puffy Alphabet Stickers (Main Kit), Mini Puffy Alphabet Stickers (Pocket Life Kit) and a HKC Exclusive Heartfelt Die Cut Phrases « You » (Embellishment kit). I created a little cluster of flowers with the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Some Days Floral Die Cuts and a few Enamel dots (both from the Main Kit) as the finishing touch.

I don’t create mini albums often so this was kind of a challenge for me and I went with something really simple. I LOOOVE how it turned out ! And actually, this was easier than I thought !
