Hello crafty Friends !
It’s Sophie here and I am sharing my take on the beautiful color challenge we have this week !
Everything from my page comes from the February 2021 kits.
I will guide you through my simple step-by-step process in creating this layout.
I wanted to use that beautiful February Subscriber cut file designed by Kim Watson named « Scribble Circle » along with the Pinkfresh Studio floral die cuts and a Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper: Some Days – What a Day.
I chose to back the inner portion of the cut file with the Pinkfresh Studio Some Days Fresh Flowers Paper and printed a photo of my kids and our dog in black and white.
I wanted to use the « Love Love Love » Die Cut for my title and created the word « you » in a simple yet interesting way. I first lightly hand wrote the word, on thick white cardstock, punched holes and hand stitched the word with yellow embroidery floss. Then I carefully cut around the word and added adhesive foam on the back of it before adhering it to my page.
I also punched a heart border and hand stitched a vertical line on the right side of my large strip of patterned paper with the same embroidery floss as my title.
I backed the hearts of the wreath cut file with the HKC Exclusive Heartfelt Mixed Media Clear Stickers from the February Embellishment kit that I previously sticked on white cardstock.
I added adhesive foam behind the whole cut file for more dimension, and created big floral clusters (my favorite thing to do on layouts !!) with the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Some Days Floral Die Cuts from the main kit.
