Hello everyone, Christina here with a new layout inspiration for you, using the November 2020 Main & Embellishment Kits! My assignment for today was to embellish my die cuts with stitching and to layer them on my layout. So while I looove layering, stitching is usually something I try to avoid. Don’t get me wrong, I admire to see stitching on other peoples’ layouts! I just don’t enjoy doing it. But I really tried hard, and here’s how my layout looks like:
I started by cutting two patterned papers into diagonal shapes and arranged them to the top of my white cardstock, then I added two paper strips to the bottom. Before I glued these elements down, I added some teal watercolor to the page, where I intended to place my photo.
Then I added some stitching to the mint flower from the cardstock die cuts pack (Embellishment Kit), and placed a sequin on it. I also wrapped some yarn around one of the Christmas trees from the cardstock die cut pack (Main Kit), fixed the ends on the back of the tree with some washi tape, and added some yarn to the “Merry” banner from the same die cut pack.
Isn’t this little snowman from the acetate die cuts pack (Embellishment Kit) too cute? I placed him to the bottom of my page along with some gift packages, and added a braided scarf around his neck.
Some final paint splatters and sequins here and there… Done!
I really hope you like how it turned out and got a little bit inspired… Thank you so much for stopping by!
XOXO
Christina
