Happy New Year! It’s Katarina here with you again and today I’m sharing my first layout using the December Kits. I just love the exclusive Keeping Cozy collection designed by Kim and Kimberly so much, I can’t even describe it. And here’s my layout documenting the only snowy day we’ve had this winter.

Today I wanted to show you that mixed media can also be used in a very subtle way and still give a big impact and beautiful detail to your project. I used one of the layering stencils from the December Color Kit to apply the shimmery Nuvo Glimmer Paste from the November Color Kit.
My assignment for today was to create a grid layout and the December Kits are absolutely perfect for this purpose. I used a bunch of chipboard frames and one of the super pretty Journaling Bits from the Main Kit for my hidden notes.
I layered a chipboard and acetate tag from the Pocket Life Kit to create a fun interactive element.
All the embellishments in December Kits are so pretty! It was so much fun to embellish my layout. Here’s a bunch of close-ups.
