BE MERRY ! | MOOD BOARD INSPIRED LAYOUT | Sophie Delorme

Hello Hip Kit friends !!

It’s Sophie on the blog today and I am excited to share my take on the beautiful December Mood Board designed by the lovely Amanda-Jayne Baldwin !

First: Here is the Mood Board:

And now my layout:

Everything on this page comes from the November Hip Kits.

My attention was caught by the beautiful Christmas Stocking on the middle upper picture. I also focussed on the overall color scheme of the mood board.

I started with two November cut files: The Merry and Bright Subscriber cut file and the Stocking subscriber cut file, both designed by the talented Kim Watson.

I cut them on white cardstock and backed them with patterned papers from the November Paper Kit and the Bazzill Lava Cardstock from the November Cardstock kit.

I did an offset cut for the word « Merry »  and added adhesive foam on the white Merry word for dimension, as well as the Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Iridescent Glitter Texture Paste (November Color kit)

I used a photo of our sweet Fiona in front of the Christmas tree. The colors matched perfectly with my design !

I added the Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Texture Paste (November Color kit) on the bells as seen here:

I embellished around the Christmas stocking and on the top right corner of my photo with beautiful flowers and leaves from HKC Exclusive Merry Everything Acetate Die Cuts and Floral Ephemera that can be found in the November Embellishment kit.

I also cut a strip of the beautiful black and white striped patterned paper and put it on the right side of the layout.

Finally, I created uneven lines with some little scalloped drawings to write my journaling, and some doodling around my floral clusters.

Here are more close-ups:

I hope you like this page and that it inspires you to get creative in this Christmas time !

I wish you all an amazing holiday season, with plenty joys and health !

Sophie xx
