BORDER PUNCHES LAYOUT I MAIN KIT BY KERSTIN SCHEIDLER

Hi everyone, it’s Kerstin here today to share with you a new Layout! My task was to create a layout with white cardstock and border punches.

I have used and focused my attention to the October 2020 Main kit (I’m still waiting for my November Kit) and I must say, I love being creative withthis wonderful kit! I’ll tell you how to create this layout.

First I took white cardstock and added a splash of color – Magical autumn maple crimson from the October 2020 Color kit. The Magical I mixed with some water on a foil and then pressed it onto the white cardstock.

Well – border punches were one of those things for me. I don’t have any punches of this kind – I know what will definitely end up in my shopping bag next – so I made them myself. So I punched out 1 inch circles, cut them in half, put them on paper – in different heights – and drew around them and cut them out with scissors.  I think they turned out quite well.

I sewed the borders cut out of different papers on the cardstock with my sewing machine using different types of stitches. To get some depth into my layout I bent different edges of the borders upwards with a thin round pencil.

To get some variety in my borders I arranged black letters from the October 2020 Main Kit as a row up and across.

The final touches to complete my layout were adding some stickers and embellishments.

I hope you like it and I can inspire you to make your next layout similar!

Love, Kerstin
