A Christmas layout – with the September & October Kits | Christina Buresch-Leyrer

Hello everyone! Christina here with a new layout inspiration for you. Since I’m still waiting for my November Kits, but wanted to create a Christmas themed layout including one of the November subscriber cut files, I decided to use all the typical Christmas colours like green and red and gold I could find in the September and October Kits.

And here’s how my layout turned out:

I began by cutting the Christmas ornaments border cut file from some grey cardstock, and backed it up with various patterned papers from the September and October Kits in green, yellow and orange (since I couldn’t find a red patterned paper). Then I placed it in the lower third of my white cardstock, and added some paper strips and some Washi tape above it.

Next, I matted my photos (showing my husband baking Christmas cookies for the first time since his childhood days), and also place one of the wooden frames from the September Embellishment Kit on top.

Then I began layering all kinds of embellishments on the cut file, like fussy cut and wooden houses, green and and golden leaves and twigs, a cup, some teapots and a marmelade jar (since our cookies were made with marmelade), golden hearts and some small, punched out stars.
