MIXED MEDIA MONDAY – HAPPY FALL – ANKE KRAMER

Hi everyone, Anke here with you. Welcome to Mixed Media Monday. Today I’m sharing a layout featuring the beautiful October Hip Kits.

I was also asked to use a cut file. I chose the Sweater Weather cut file from the October 2020 subscriber cut files and cut lots of leaves in different sizes from white cardstock. Then I backed some of them with the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Softly Quilted Paper and painted the other ones using the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shimmering Watercolors which are included in the October Color Kit.

Before adhering the leaves I added some color splatters to my cardstock. Then I arranged the leaves which I had backed with the Softly Quilted Paper in rows and added two of the smaller, painted leaves to each of them. For the last row at the bottom of the page I used only the small, painted leaves.

I layered my photo with patterned paper and two leaves and embellished it with some of the Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Chipboard Stickers and a cute little squirrel from the Jen Hadfield – The Avenue – Ephemera pack , both included in the October Main Kit.

For my title I chose one of the Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Foam Phrase Stickers which you can find in the October Embellishment Kit.

I added more embellishments like some of the Simple Stores – Cozy Days – Decorative Brads and word stickers from the Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Sticker Book ( both included in the October Pocket Life Kit) and leaves from the Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Foam Phrase Stickers Pack (included in the October Embellishment Kit).

Finally I matted my page with a piece of the Amy Tangerine  – Late Afternoon – Warm and Cozy Paper and another piece of white cardstock.

I had so much fun creating this layout and I hope you feel inspired to get creative with your color kits or use one of the gorgeous cut files.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Anke xx
