Hi everyone its Melissa here and I’m so happy to be back here with you again, this time working with the breathtaking September 2020 Kits!!  My assignment was to create a mini album using the exclusive Pocket Life Cards (from the Pocket Life Kit) and to dress them with layers.   This was also my opportunity to use the super cute exclusive Coffee Cup cut file from the August 2020 kits cut files.  I used bits and pieces from all of the kits to make this flip book.

 

 

Coffee is one of my favourite things, and not just in the cooler months of the year.  I love to take photos of my coffee, especially at cafes and also if I manage to make a good looking latte at home!  When I saw the coffee cup cut file I knew it would be perfect to feature some of my recent coffee photos, and also to use some of my favourite coffee quotes!

I choose 6 of the Pocket Life Cards from the Pocket Life Kits.  I specifically selected cards that would have enough room for embellishing with layers, and adding photos and the quotes.

 

I embellished with a mix of the Marigold stickers, Thickers, chipboard; The Avenue stickers and wooden frames;  Days of Splendour ephemera,  florals, chipboard Flair, enamel dots, Crate Paper  gold Thickers.

I kept all of my cards single sided, but I did add a little description about my love of coffee as an introduction on back of my cover.

 

 

My first page has my favourite coffee quote of all time, and I believe its from Gilmore Girls!! The Wise Words PL card was soooo perfect! My first layer for this card was to stamp with the Pink Fresh Studio background stamp that comes in the Stamp Kit.  Its very subtle, yet adds a lovely detail, especially in gold ink.

 

 

This next page features a Christmas coffee at Church, and I loved being able to use the Pink Fresh Studio floral ephemera piece that kind of reminds me of holly berries. The quote definitely describes me too!

 

 

I added gold machine stitching to all of my cards to play off the gold Marigold Thickers in the kit. Love how this looks!  This photo is from a local coffee called The Buzz Stop and they add a stencilled bee in chocolate to their coffee! YUM!

 

 

I  love how sweet this card turned out.  The “Simple Joys” chipboard flair was perfect!  I love the pop of purple that this card adds!

 

 

The colours in this kit are absolutely stunning, I honestly can’t get enough!  I had fun with this card adding my quote with the Pink Fresh Studio Mini Alphabet.  I used the stamp on this card too for more subtle goodness.

 

 

My final page features a larger Pebbles wooden frame.  These frames look amazing embellished with the Marigold clear stickers, and the puffy pink bow is the perfect finishing touch!

 

 

This mini album turned out so cute, and it will be a welcome addition to my mini album collection.  I hope I inspired you to dress up your Pocket Life Cards with layers!
