Mixed Media layout using Nuvo Mousse with Anett

Hey Friends! It’s Anett here today with a new layout share that I had so much fun creating. My assignment was to create a mixed-media layout.

In 2020 July Color kit we received another two colors of Nuvo Embellishment Mouse. Aquamarine and Orange Blush. These two colors coordinate so well with the Simple Stories papers and Chipboard Stickers. It is a brave choice to use them together on my background, but I tried it, and it look so awesome cool, girly and fun!

I took a simple cardstock and smudged the mousse with a palette knife on the paper. Fist the orange paste then the aqua. I moved the palette knife only left and right and up and down, no diagonals. Take a big amount of mousse and let the mousse thick here and there. Don’t overwork it, if the colors mix, you get a not really pretty grey color,so be brave, make the lines and leave it to dry overnight.

I used mainly the Simple Stories Kate & Ash chipboard stickers, but I gone through the others too looking for orange and aqua colors, matching my theme, my teenage girl. I layered them using foam tape vertically.

As finishing touch I added splatters. You can add water to a small amount of mousse, and use it as watercolor, do splatters.

Than you so much for stopping by today. I really hope you like the page and most of all, you feel inspired to create a page with Hip Kit Club kits!

Love, Anett
