Hey friends! Welcome on the Hip Kit Club blog.
It’s Angela here with a new layout for this Mixed Media Monday. I had so much fun playing with texture paste and colors combined with my June 2020 kits. This is what I come up with!
I started with a 12″ Bazzil Marshmallow that I prepped with gesso. Then, I grabbed a stencil and a textured paste I had in my stash and created a fun background made of small squares and rectangles. When the paste was dry, I sprinckled some pigment powder in pink and gold and sprayed water to melt the color. I spritz just a tiny bit at a time, so to keep the color in spots.
To embellish the page I decided to fussy cut the big roses from The Stamp Market, Miss Modern paper. This is definitely the main character of the page, so big, bold and beautiful.
I created another couple of clusters beside the roses using puffy stickers and die cuts by Pinkfresh Studio. The Layout is all about the consequence of this crazy virus, with few many restrictions of movement between foreign countries so, the Let’s Stay Home collection is much appropriated.
I wrote the journaling on one of the Journaling card that I cut out from Miss Modern paper and I split the title in two. The first part is lined upon the journaling. The second part follows the arch of the rainbow at the bottom of the page.
I finished up stamping some black stars from the Hip Kit exclusive stamp set and adding some colored enamel dots and voilà!
Than you so much for stopping by today. I really hope you like the page and most of all, you feel inspired to create a new mixed media page with Hip Kit Club kits!
Love, NG
