Hi Friends! I’m super excited to be here one more week sharing a new project with you. I used the July 2020 Hip kits to put together this fun and bright layout inspired by the July 2020 Mood Board that our design team member Marinette designed for this month.

 

 

I used most of the Dear Lizzy Here and Now patterned papers from my Main Kit for my background and details. They matched the photo I wanted to work with so PERFECTLY! I started by cutting one of the patterned papers and then, cutting that piece into strips without cutting it all the way through. I then rolled each strip to create waves. These waves will end up adding lots of texture to my layout. I repeated the process with a different piece of patterned paper and glued it with the rolled strips facing the opposite direction.

 

I picked the sequins from the Pink Paislee Mixed Embellishments you can find in the Embellishment Kit to add some gold, white, and green accents all over the layout. I hand stitched the gold pieces to the layout to allow them to hang. It creates a super fun effect.

 

 

I used the HKC Exclusive Die Cuts from the Main Kit to decorate my photo and the top section of the layout. I backed the photo with the American Crafts – Lipgloss Premium Glitter Paper from the Cardstock Kit.
