Hi everyone, Anett here with you today. It’s Mixed Media Monday and so I want to share a layout for which I used the Art Philosophy liquid watercolors from the gorgeous April Color Kit.

 

 

I started with a layer of white Gesso in the middle of my page. I wanted to soften the black and white pattern, so my photo and the embellishment cluster can stand out more.  The Prima Art Philosophy Watercolors which are included in the April Color Kit are concentrated. So I took just a tiny bit of the Blush color and painted a thin layer over the dry gessod area. It got very light pink color. I also splattered a bit with the blush.

 

Ones everything was dry, I created my cluster of patterned papers and embellishments around my photo, just above the gessod area.

The Crate Paper Sweet Story embellishments are just gorgeous and go well with my theme. I  use foam adhesives to raise some ephemera. I cut my title from one of the ephemera. I was overwhelmed by the choices I had, so many goodies in the kits.

 

 

It is a really simple layout, but the layering of patterned paper, the arrangement of the embellishment and the beautiful colors make it pretty.

The butterflies are my favorites of all the Crate Paper embellishments. They add a little sparkle to my layout.  Maybe I will add later my comment under the photo. There is a suitable area for that.
