Hello Ladies! Anett here again! I am here to inspire you with a colorful layout that I have created using the 2020 March Hip Kits. My assignment was to create a Mood Board inspired layout. I was inspired by the pastel colored boots standing next to each other. Well I don’t have any boots for you, but lots of pastel color ♥
I am in love with the gorgeous 2020 March Color kit and they go so well with the colors in the kits. Yellow, soft pink, baby blue and soft greens, make my layout feel like summer breeze. I loved the colorful boots on the mood board, I wanted to see the soft pastels next to each other on my layout. I created this effect using the NUVO Embellishment Mousse. In February Color Kit it we got Lavender Lilac. In Mach Color Kit two others, Peony Pink and Custard Cream. I made a fourth color, with mixing the last two, and I got an apricot color, really pretty.
I applied the mouse using a wide palette knife. Take a “bigger” amount on your knife and do it loose, to get as much texture as possible. It is a little chunky, but it will dry out, leaving gorgeous texture you can build your layout on. Leave it dry for the night and the next morning you have a wonderful, shiny background for your layout.

I am mixing and matching Pebbles and Heidi Swapp stickers and embellishments. I use up a lot of foam dots every time, as I love creating dimensions. If an ephemera is too big, just cut it in half, and tuck it under the photo or another embellishment. Building layers, lovely bits and pieces peeking out here and there is the best!
I hope you like how it turned out you will try this fun technic yourself. It makes me excited and happy to try something new! The color kits help you to stretch your stash, and use mediums you did not know before!
