Main Kit Only & Nuvo Drops by Angela Tombari

Hi Scrappy Friends! Angela here with you today to share a new scrapbooking page using Hip Kit Club Main Kit only. I created my page with February 2020 Main kit that includes  also one bottle of Sweet Lilac Gloss Crystal Nuvo Drops.

I was inspired by the colorful paper #24 from Paige Evans Bloom Street collection and its arrows pattern. They reminded me the feathers of Native American arrows so, I decided to make some arrows!

I fussy cut some arrows from paper #24 and made three feathers with three colors of arrows: pink, blue and green. Then, I simply adhered the feathers on a wood stick I found in the kitchen; I think in English they are called BBQ sticks.

Using the three arrows as a starting point, I arranged them on a 12″ Bazzil Marshmallow and before adhering the, I added a touch of color to the background underneath using Distress Oxide inks.

Each arrow has three shades of feathers, from light to dark and for coloring the background I used two shades of  Distress Oxide inks.

Around each arrow, I wrapped some backer’s twine, just to add a bit of dimension and interest to the page.

To decorate the layout, I mainly used Bloom Street Sticker book. It was perfect, because it contains little stickers that were just the perfect tiny accent to embellish around the feathers.

To embellished, I used also a few Bloom Street die cuts and some Pinkfresh Studio Noteworthy pieces.

To fill in some empty spaces of the page, I punched three circles from Bloom Street paper #22. I stitched them with my sewing machine, adhered the circles along the border of the page and cut the excess with my scissors.

Again, I embellished the circles with a few Noteworthy and Bloom Street stickers, creating a second set of clusters on the page.

For the title I chose the phrase ‘Best Friend’ because the girl in the pic is one of my bestie. The words are from Hello Thickers by American Crafts and they are another product included in February Main Kit.

Last but not least, I added lots of Nuvo Drops drops all around the page, mainly near the clusters. That helped me to give a cohesive look to the layout. Final, I made the page slightly smaller, cutting 1/4 of inch on each side and adhered it on paper #12 of Bloom Street collection.

Love,
