Hey everyone, Nikihere with a new layout to share. Today I have been inspired by the February Moodboard which you can see below. I was inspired by the colours, the gumball machine, the love theme, the hearts and the flowers. My assignment today other than being inspired by the moodboard, was to use a cut file. I’ve actually used two!

 

 

I’ve used the January kits for this layout. I used the Main Kit, the Pocket Life Kit and the Embellishment kitand a couple of pieces of cardstock from the Cardstock Kit.

In particular I wanted to create a love or Valentine’s themed layout, so I mainly focused on using the Pink Paislee Lucky Us products.

 

 

I cut the Gumball cut file from white card. I also shrunk the ‘Sweet on You’ cut file right down and cut it from black card. I wanted my title to be in black, to go with the XO stickers on the Pink Paislee Lucky Us puffy stickers. I backed the gumball cut file with Lucky Us patterned paper for the bottom section, and vellum for the ball section.

 

 

I punched out lots of hearts from two colours of cardstock included in the Cardstock Kit. I also punched hearts from the silver glittery Heidi Swapp tape that was in the January Pocket Life kit. I then sprinkled these behind my gumball machine to look like sweeties inside the machine. I have to confess that this is a ‘fake’ shaker pocket! I don’t like how the pieces fall to the bottom of the pocket so lately I’ve been sticking my pieces down flat so that they don’t move around, but still look like a shaker pocket!

 

 

I embellished my layout with lots of Pink Paislee Lucky Us Icon Thickers. These were in the January Pocket Life kit. I also added floral ephemera, enamel dots, and puffy stickers to the layout. I finally machine stitched around the edge of the layout to finish it off.
