Hey scrappy friends!
It’s Angela back here! Today, I am sharing with you a card trio I made using the Hip Kit Club January kits. My design team request was to create Valentine’s day cards and here is what I came up with.
On the first card I created a pocket using two patterned papers from January main kit, paper #8 of Pink Paislee Lucky Us collection and Be Right Back paper by Pinkfresh Studio Super Cool collection. Then, I put on the pocket the two fun hands from Lucky Charm thickers and the two lollipop thicker on top, as a sentiment of the card.
Last, I embellished the card with a fabric bow from the Embellishment kit. These bows from Pinkfresh Studio are super fun. The bow pieces can be mixed because they can all match. For example, here I made a double bow using different pattern and color pieces.
Now, card number two. Here, I went for a layered design. I created the card base with two contrasting papers, one with black and white stripes and the other pink and red.
Then, in the center of the card I layered some flowers and leaves. These are Pinkfresh Studio die-cuts. The pack comes with multi color flowers too but I went for the black and white ones, to fit the color scheme I chose.
In between the flowers, I placed to chipboard frames and a circle die-cut on top. For the sentiment I chose another beautiful big red glittery thickers from Lucky Us by AC that says Forever.
Now, my last and preferred card. It is a kind of patchwork card made with paper Highlight by Pinkfresh Studio. The paper consists of words and phrases and some of them are highlighted with colors.
I cut the words and phrases in strips and put together on the card the one with yellow, pink, gray and light blue. This is always my preferred color combo!
On each colored word, I created a little cluster of embellishments in the same color, using mainly heart puffy stickers, enamel dots and round chipboards.
To create the sentiment, I had the idea to raise up one of the words. I simply placed two layers of foam tape underneath .
To hide the foam tape and, at the same time, embellish the card, I stick around it a strip of silver glitter tape by Heidi Swapp. I love the shining effect and also, that makes the sentiment pop.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I really hope you liked my cards and feel inspired to create your owns using the gorgeous January Hip Kit Club kits.
