Hey friends! It’s Angela here. Today I am sharing other four pages of my December album, days 4 and 5. I used the December Documented kit and the November 2019 kits and my assignment was to add some sparkling to the project.
December 4 is about my best friend birthday. It’s a spread on two pages where I used some patterned papers from HKC Exclusive Make A Wish collection, designed by Kim & Kimberly. I was so inspired by paper Silent Night, the one that have a knitted pattern, that I found a way to incorporate a piece of wool thread.
I dated the page combining the Make a Wish puffy phrases stickers for writing the month and the stamp set from the December Documented kit for the number that I stamped directly on the page.
On the second page of the spread I added a bit of sparkling on the background. I used Nuvo Catherine Wheel shimmer powder. I added some water to the powder and colored the page with the packaging technique.
To embellish the paper I used bits and pieces from the kits, especially flowers and leaves from Make A Wish collection.
On day 5 I let my creative juice flow 🙂 This is the day I received my HKC kits and I was so happy that I had to make it a memory.
So, on the first page I adhere the pic of the box with the kits. I wrote the journaling on a Journaling card and added a happy girl beside – that girl is me!!
I adhere the photo on a piece of cardboard cut from that same box and I wrapped everything with some twine from my stash.
I sticked a gold heart on the hands of the happy girl. This is a chipboard die cut that I embossed with Moxy Metallic Gold powder. Last, I added a few splatters of Jen Hadfield gold glitter.
On the page beside, I created a textured paper using the tissue paper that wrapped the HKC kits. I cut it in strips of 1,5 in and adhered them on a page of vellum, giving a pleated effect. Last, I stitched the strips with my sewing machine with white thread, to give a bit of contrast.
Again, I used the Make A Wish stamps to create the date, this time using Moxy gold embossing powder. I punched a white circle and I created a second circle underneath using the Jen Hadfield Scalloped Gold Glittered Tape. To make it I simply used two scallops to create a round shape. I embellished with leaves and flowers and another gold heart and voilà!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked the spreads and feel inspired to document your December with HKC kits!
Love, NG
