Morning, y’all! It’s Jinny here; and I’m so excited to get to be sharing my first project for Hip Kit Club, with you all, today! I utilized the November Main Kit, November Pocket Life Kit, and the stencil from the November Color Kit for today’s cards. Check ’em out!
I started these cards by rubbing Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, through the Make a Wish stencil, over the ‘Tis the Season, snowflake print. I then trimmed each with the individual Make a Wish prints listed below and splattered the combination with Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints before framing them with both white cardstock and white-threaded, straight, machine stitching. Let’s get a little up close and personal. Shall we?
The first card boasts that stenciled ‘Tis the Season print from above, grounded with a piece of the Fa La La print. Their connection was wrapped with a length of Baker’s Twine three times and tied in a bow to the left of the card face…
before the entire thing was popped up, with foam tape, off a simple, white, cardstock, card face and topped with a “MERRY CHRISTMAS”, woodgrain Pocket Life Card, framed, once again, with white cardstock and white-threaded, straight, machine stitching and popped up, with foam tape, in the center of the card face. The Pocket Life Card itself was then embellished with that darling, Mixed Die-Cut dear, popped up with foam tape, over a trio of Tree Die Cuts…
and one scrumptious, little, Leatherette Sticker tree and topped with a “HAPPY HOLIDAYS”, Leatherette Sticker sentiment and stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a hand-cut, vellum pendant, “OH christmas TREE”, Make a Wish phrase. A Leatherette Sticker snowflake; little glitter for the deer’s rosy cheek; and Glossy Accents, to give all those berries shine, complete the look.
The second card also started with the stenciled paper, detailed above. It was then trimmed with the plaid side of the ‘Tis the Season print and splattered with Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints before being framed with both white cardstock and white-threaded, straight, machine stitching.
Their connection, albeit vertical for this particular card, was also wrapped with a length of Baker’s Twine three times and tied in a bow to the top of the card face…
before the entire thing was popped up, with foam tape, off the white, cardstock, card face and topped with a “XMAS WISHES” Pocket Life Card, framed with white cardstock and white-threaded, straight, machine stitching and popped up, with foam tape, in the center of the card face.
The Pocket Life Card was then embellished with a Mixed Die-Cut cupcake and gingerbread man, detailed with Glossy Accents and Dazzling Diamonds, as well as a Leatherette Sticker cupcake. Leatherette Sticker and Make a Wish, stamped phrases, prepped in the same way as above, complete the look.
The third and final card, once again, began with that same stenciled paper described above.
It was trimmed with a portion of a polka dot Pocket Life Card and splattered with Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints, before being given the same treatment as the prepped backgrounds above, including the paint splatters, stitching, and snippet of Baker’s Twine…
and being topped with a “JOY” Pocket Life Card, which was also prepped in the same way as the two above and embellished with a Mixed Die-Cut Santa, dressed up with a little, glittery shimmer and shine and popped up with foam tape.
A trio of Mixed Die-Cut and Leatherette Sticker presents set the stage for my Leatherette Sticker “LAUGHTER” and stamped, once again, in the same way as above, “no peeking!” phrases. A Leatherette Sticker poinsettia and little Glossy Accents, for the Pocket Life Card berries, complete the look.
Thanks so much for visiting, Hip Kit Club friends! Have a fantastic weekend!
