Hello, Hip Kit friends! It’s Donna here to share my layout inspired by the October Mood board designed by Sophie Delorme.
I took inspiration from the circular, wreath-like design of the leaves and teal stones as well as the distressed/peeled paints.
I used the Main and embellishment kits as well as this month’s cardstock kit for my layout.
I started by cutting a circle in the middle of a piece of white cardstock. Then I fussy cut the floral patterns from Magic paper by Dear Lizzy’s She’s Magic collection and then cut a circle from Fun Times paper by Jen Hadfield’s This Is Family collection. I placed the latter underneath the cut out of the white cardstock and curled the edges for a peeled-off effect. Then I cut another piece of the orange cardstock and placed it outside the first circle cutout, distressed the edges and stitched around with a dark teal embroidery thread.
From that, I placed the fussy cut flowers to the top right and lower left parts of the circles. I used foam tape to some of the fussy cut flowers for dimension. Then I placed the photo and started adding other embellishments.
I love scattering enamel and word art stickers over the edges as well as the messy white embroidery thread underneath the photo. To finalize, I added my journaling using one of the stickers the Office Hours phrase stickers.
Thanks for dropping by today and I hope to see you again in my next post.
Happy crafty day!
