School Rocks Cut File | Ashley Horton

Hi everyone!!  It’s Ashley, and today I am sharing a new layout with you, using Paper #14 from the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection, that’s included in the August 2019 Main Kit and August 2019 Paper Kit.  This paper is perfect for backing a cut file and that’s just what I did.  I used the School Rocks cut file that will be available with the September downloads.

I cut the School Rocks design from white cardstock.  Then I cut squares from Paper #14, and used the patterns I wanted behind each of the letters.  I also wanted to use a white cardstock background, so I placed dimensional foam behind the cut file to give it dimension against the background.

Before I added the title to the background, I machine stitched lines horizontally across the cardstock with black thread.  I thought it would be a fun way to make my background have a notebook paper look.  Once I had the cut file title in place, I added my photo below it.  I also used dimensional foam behind the photo to have it at the same height as my title.

There are some perfect embellishments in the August Pocket Life Kit and Embellishment Kit, that go along with a school themed project.  I used some of the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours Chipboard Stickers and Puffy Stickers in clusters on my layout.  I also brought in some of the Pink Paislee Puffy Phrase Stickers and Stickers to complete the look of my layout.

There are so many fun ways you can use the papers and products in the August 2019 Kits!  Make sure you visit the Hip Kit Club website to see everything that is included in each of the Kits.
