Hi everyone, Anke here with you sharing my take on this week’s sketch. The sketch comes from Krystal Becker and I really like the design. The assignment was  to flip the sketch and create a celebration themed layout.

And here is my layout:

It’s the first one I made using the gorgeous July Kits. I started with creating a grid by punching out squares. Then I backed the page with a piece of the Pinkfresh Studio-Just a Little Lovely – One Fine Day Paper. I used foam pads to adhere the cardstock because that gives the page more depth.

I placed my photo in the bottom right corner of the layout. Then I fussy cut lots of flowers from the leftover piece of the One Fine Day Paper and the Echo Park – Best Summer Ever – Sunshine Floral Paper and arranged them in two clusters in the top left corner of the layout and around the photo.

I also added some die cuts like one of the exclusive Decorative Banners which are included in the July Embellishment Kit, a cocktail glass and sunglasses.

For the title I chose a die cut from the Pinkfresh Studio – Just a Little Lovely – Ephemera Pack which is included in the July Pocket Life Kit and one of the Pinkfresh Studio Puffy Phrase Stickers from the July Main Kit.

Finally I added some Enamel Dots and yellow and pink color splatters.

I really like how the layout turned out and I hope I could inspire you to create a sketch based layout too.
