Main Kit Only – Family & Friends

I don’t know about you, but I just can’t wait to open up my Hip Kit box every month, and start creating right away!  And that’s exactly what I did with this layout, using the July 2019 Main Kit only.  Within a couple of hours of it arriving on my doorstep, I had all of the goodies out and started working on a Family & Friends themed layout.

I just had to use some of the products from the new Pinkfresh Studio Just a Little Lovely collection.  The design idea I had in my head, was a free-form grid on a diagonal.  So I started things off by fussing cutting flowers from the PF Studio One Fine Day patterned paper and adhering them in the corners on the New Thoughts patterned paper.  I needed a few other pieces to work into my grid design, other than the photo, so I cut out some of the squares from the Webster’s Pages Happy Day patterned paper.  Before adding them to my layout, I machine stitched around them and roughed up the edges just a bit.

I thought a large title would be fun, so I used the Pinkfresh Studio Puffy Alpha Stickers that are included in the July Main Kit.  I love the contrast of the White alphas against the mixed media look of the background paper.  And I also love the way the title fit right in with the diagonal, grid design!

For the finishing touches on my layout, I used a few more fussy cut flowers from the other side of the One Fine Day patterned paper.  Then I embellished with a mix of puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Studio and a few bits from the Exclusive Ephemera pack included in the July Main Kit.
