It’s Friday and that means it’s time for a new sketch! This week our sketch calls for circles galore and I was more than happy to give it a shot! Here’s what we are working with:
I was very excited about the circular photos–more times than not, I go with the square or rectangular photo, but the times that I have went outside the box with my photo shape, I have always loved the results and I knew this time would be no different! To cut my photo out, I first ordered a photo in a 4×6 size and then I cut it out with my good old manual die cutting machine. Before putting it away, I also cut out several more circles using a variety of patterned paper from the June Scrapbook Kit. I like to cut out more than I think I will need just so I can really play around with placement and color. Here is a look at my layout:
To make my black and white photo stand out from the other circles, I stitched a couple of circles around it with my sewing machine. I then stitched around two other paper circles to create some repetition.
For embellishments, I stuck with the silver foam circles from the Thicker pack that I pulled my title from, as well as stickers from the amazing Heidi Swapp sticker book that came in the June PL Kit. The sticker book is by far my favorite piece from the June Kits because it is jammed packed with over 900 stickers in all the colors that I love. I will be using it for a long time!
