Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to the Hip Kit Club blog. Today I was challenged by the team to create a layout using the Create paper All Heart stamp set and chipboard stickers. These are found in the May Hip Kits and are all about positivity, self worth and motivation.

When I saw these stamps I thought that I would try to create my own background. It was fun to do and the result meant I had a one of a kind patterned paper that added a unique design element to my layout.

 

 

To create this background with the stamps I used an acrylic block and adding one stamp at a time I worked my way around the page. I started with the larger stamps and I knew I could fill in all the little spots with the tiny stamps which are so cute!

 

 

Using the Lindy’s stamp gang magical shaker powders that came in May’s colour kit I added water and moved the individual colours around the centre of the page ensuring that I was blending the colours as I went. I used gesso on this section before applying the magical’s as I knew I wanted to add a lot of water to create the effect I was after.

 

 

I then began creating my cluster in the centre of the page making sure I was featuring the chipboard elements. Although this created lots of dimension on the page I feel it came together well and did not detract from the photos.
