For The Record, Mini Album by: Shara Crane

Hello everyone! “For The Record” I had SO much fun using the Hip Kit Club May Kits! I LOVE how real life these colors are!

For the cover, I used one of the free cut files. The page that says “Hey Girl” has a magnetic closer and opens for added photos or journaling. I didn’t include many photos in this mini album because…well…I only had a few and already had a plan for them (see last photo).

For the page below I created a pocket and added some of the Hip Kit Club exclusive Project Life Cards from the Project Life Kit.  I will also add little odds and ends when I decide what I want to write about. I used the “blah blah blah” from the exclusive ephemera pack found in the Main Kit. I figured it was a perfect touch because I will be going blah blah blah on the Project Life Cards for sure!

The next page has to be my FAVORITE! I really wanted to make some sort of “album” cover. I also wanted to make an album sooooo….BAM!!! I did both and love how they came out. The title of my album is All We Have Is Now and the name of the group is HKC aka Hip Kit Club. I think it looks so cute! The album pulls out so I can add a photo and some journaling.  I also slowly and carefully stitched circles around the album to give it a real album look and who are we kidding….I just HAD to use my sewing machine!

For the last page I made another album, but this one is a bit larger than the first one. This is also the page I saved ALL my photos for (do you love my black overalls?!?! I do, but my older son was not a fan hahahaha). I wanted to clump them together but also wanted to add the interactive element using a brad from the February Project Life Kit. I again, very slowly used black plastic thread to give the album a real vinyl album look. This album was made to use with wallet size photos. The photos you see above are all wallet size.

I, as always, had SO MUCH FUN making this and using all the wonderful goodies from the kits. I hope you will give it a try and please do share if you do. I LOVE to see what everyone makes!

Happy Crafting,

Shara Crane
