Hey there, Niki here today with a layout for Mixed Media Monday. My assignment today was to use the April Color Kit and the stencil but my April Kits haven’t arrived yet so I’ve improvised and used the March Color Kit instead.

I used the doilies from March’s Color Kit as stencils. I positioned them onto my layout and sprayed over the top using the three colours of Lindy’s Starburst Sprays. This worked amazingly well! I then added the three sprayed doilies to the layout too as well as some doilies cut from patterned papers from the March kit. The cut file I used was the Doily one from the Hip Kit Club website under March Downloads.

Once I was happy with my background I added embellishments in a colour-on-colour fashion. I used some chipboard stickers from the Maggie Holmes chipboard sheet, as well as stickers from the puffy sticker sheet too, also Maggie Holmes Sunny Days. I also added one of those gorgeous bows.

I really loved the way this layout turned out, aren’t those colours absolutely gorgeous??
