Polaroid Pages Mini Album | Shara Crane

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your March Kits as much as I am! This month’s kits have me dreaming of summer days. Here is my latest Mini Album. For the cover I took off the puffy tape from the back of one of the Maggie Holmes bows and added an eyelet so I could put it on the binder clip to give my little summer album a sweet, sweet, bow.

The “Summer” is from the July cut files. You can find it here . I used scraps to fill in each letter and I’m sure you can see by now that I can’t live without my sewing machine. I think I have to use it on EVERY PIECE of paper. If I try to leave it off I hear…”did you forget about meeeeee” from my little buddy. “No, no of course not stitchy”! HEHE. If you have a sewing machine and have yet to try it on your paper. DO IT!! You will absolutely love the result.

For each of the pages I used the polaroid cut file. I added the little tabs on top so I had somewhere to punch holes for my eyelets. Just open the file in the application you use and add a little square then weld it to the frame. After you weld one, copy  and paste the image,  flip it horizontally, place it on top of the original image and weld them together. Now your square’s are evenly spaced and you have room for eyelets.

If you look closely around the photo below you will see a small frame around it. I used the scrap part of the frames from  the exclusive ephemera in the mail kit. Don’t throw those babies out…they make great subtle layers of color and WOWness 🙂

For the above photo I took some trim from my stash and machine stitched some thickers from both the mail kit and the embellishment kit. I used some ephemera and fussy cut the butterfly from one of the pages from the kit. For my last page (the photo below) I made it a shaker and added my photo right inside the shaker!

I absolutely love how the March kits have a touch of blue making it easy for this #boymom to scrap with my boys and still have color, and who are we kidding….PINKS!! I hope you enjoyed my little Mini Album.

Happy Crafting,

Shara Crane
