Hi all and Happy Valentine’s Day! For this special day about love, I thought I’d document one my loves–books!
Now, not to get too mushy, but this photo, though simple, really means a whole lot to me. You see, one book belongs to me and one to my middle daughter. We had both brought along books to entertain ourselves while we were waiting to pick up big brother and it was just one of those moments where I was so proud and thankful that I had passed on my love of books to her. I have read to her since she was born and it was obviously time well spent!

To put this layout together, I challenged myself to use just the main kit as well as the branding strips from the patterned papers that I like to cut off and keep. Well, I almost succeeded in the challenge! The branding strip is the white heart strip which is what I used to set the color scheme for the layout. Where I failed was limiting myself to the January Main Kit only! In the end I just had to the “Happy Place” heart and a phrase sticker from the Embellishment and PL Kits.
