Hello friends and happy December!  It’s Jung here, and today I’m sharing my cover page for my 2018 December Documented album.  This is my 9th year participating in December Daily, and it’s a tradition that I look forward to every holiday season.  I am using the Hip Kit Club 2018 December Documented Kit.

For my cover page, I started by cutting out a giant 2018 on a 6×8 piece of white cardstock, using my silhouette cameo.  The font is just Times New Roman.  I wanted to highlight the pattern papers in the kit, so I decided to create a paper-pieced quilt under each number.  I traced the numbers on another piece of white cardstock.  Then, I cut down some paper into 1.5 inch squares, cut them in half diagonally, and arranged them.  I wanted that quilted look, so I added some machine stitching.

I wanted to create some depth, so I adhered the 2018 cardstock with foam squares.  I made sure to keep the inner portion of the 0 and 8, and I adhered those with foam squares as well.

I wanted to add a pop of glittery red, which is my favorite color to use for Christmas, so I altered the Pebbles woodgrain phrase sticker, by heat embossing with Versamark ink and red glitter embossing powder.  I embossed it twice to be sure to get an even coverage.  I LOVE how it turned out!

Today also marks the first day of the Hip Kit Club 12 Days of Giving, and this tree cut file is for our subscribers.

Here is what I made for the cut file.  I will probably put it in my December Daily, but I’m not sure where yet.  I cut off the tree skirt part of the tree so I could have a bigger tree in my 6×8 album.

I cut the tree from white cardstock, then backed each tiny little space with pattern paper.  The pops of red are from the branding strips of the HKC exclusive paper.  Once I finished backing the tree, I added some machine stitching.
