Hello crafty peeps! It’s Jung here, and today I’m sharing a Halloween layout. I was challenged to make a grid project, so I used some HKC exclusive Project Life cards, and made it happen. Grid layouts are one of my go-tos, so I was more than happy to make this layout! Today I’m using the September 2018 Main Kit, Color Kit, Project Life Kit, and Embellishment Kit.
I’m so happy it’s October! We always go trick-or-treating with friends and family, and I look forward to it every year! These photos are from a few years back…aren’t my Hermione Granger and Little Red Riding Hood the cutest?!
I used a piece of black cardstock from my stash, and made a grid by machine stitching some wonky lines (which I carefully measured out before hand, haha!). I used the 3 shimmerz products that we got in the color kit to splatter each section with one color…I really love the way these shimmerz pop on the dark background. I don’t know if the photos do it justice, but on the top row from the left, I used Wisteria Lane, then Cotton Candy in the middle, and Mustard Seed on the right.
Next, I just got to work embellishing the sections with Project Life cards (the yellow is one that I cut out of one of the pattern papers), photos, stickers and other embellishments.
I made some layered hearts embellishments by die cutting different sized hearts from some of the pattern papers, and then machine stitching them down the middle.
For my title, I stamped the labels included in the Vicki Boutin stamp set from this month’s color kit, and added the purple Pinkfresh Studio mini puffy alphas.
I really love how this layout turned out, and I hope you do to. If you haven’t made a grid layout yet, you should totally give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a lovely day!
