Hi Everyone, welcome back to the Hip Kit Club blog.

By now you all have received your September kits and are absolutely loving the Indigo Hills 2 collection and the perfect splashes of the Willow Lane collection. But not only do you have access to this beautiful kit you also have access to your free cut files which is the highlight of this layout today.

How fabulous is this cut file! Creating circles with photos is a unique way adding a special feature to your layout. We are so used to the traditional square or rectangle and often we don’t think outside the box. This cut file was perfect to highlight this photo of my little girl and our pooch.

The one thing I noticed about this cut file when it was being cut was that it left me with a great template to use as a stencil. My mind then shifted to our beautiful color kit and the Wisteria Lane Shimmerz, adding it to some texture paste and applying it through the cardstock stencil.

The wonderful thing I discovered was that the shimmers intensity did not reduce and it created a wonderful unique coordinating effect on my layout.

I hope that I have inspired you to think about your cut file off cuts as possible stencils or templates and to have a go at incorporating your shimmerz with texture paste on your layout.
