Hello Hip Kit Club friends! It’s Jung here today, and I’m sharing a layout for Sketch Friday that’s also inspired by the August mood board. This is my first layout with the August 2018 Hip Kits, and I am in love!
Here is what I created:
I loved the sketch this week! It is very much my style…I love embellishing squares and creating grid layouts!

I was inspired by this month’s mood board as well. I love all the soft pastel colors (especially the purple), and I love the image on the top right with the cluster of little “embellishments.”
I started off by stamping one of the floral images from the Maggie Holmes stamp set that was included in this month’s embellishment kit. Then I added some ink splatter.
Next, I cut 4 pieces of pattern paper & cardstock to 4 x 4 inches. I added 3 photos to 3 of the squares. On the last square, I hand wrote my journaling on an HKC exclusive project life card, then cut it out to look like a tag.
Next, it was about embellishing the squares…my favorite part!
This month’s Hip Kits were perfect to document my daughter getting a short hair cut and donating her hair. I’m loving the cute little details and the colors of Maggie Holmes’ new collection!
For my project, I used the August 2018 Main kit, Project Life kit, Embellishment kit, and Cardstock kit.
