Hello Hip Kit Club friends! It’s Jung here, and today I’m playing with Hip Kit Club exclusives from the July 2018 Hip Kits.
Since there were quite a few ice cream themed products, I knew I had to create an ice cream layout. Here’s what I came up with:
I started by splattering white cardstock with some shimmerz from last month’s color kit. Then I added some machine stitching across the entire page; I’ve done this on a few other layouts, and I love the texture it adds! The HKC exclusive scalloped paper was screaming to be fussy cut! I cut out the pink and blue scallops, then machine stitched them to my layout using coordinating thread.

I matted my photos to an HKC exclusive PL card and pattern paper, and adhered it to the layout with foam squares. Next, I used the HKC exclusive alphas for my title. I absolutely love the tiny alphas!
To finish off my layout, I added in bits and pieces that matched the ice cream theme and/or the blue and pink colors I was going for. I used mostly exclusives…how cute is that acetate & wood veneer ice cream cone?! I used strong liquid glue (Ranger multi matte medium) and it worked perfectly! I used a few exclusive pieces from the ephemera pack, some of the cute puffy hearts, and a few of the thin wood veneer.
I added my journaling that I typed up on my typewriter, and I was done! I love love love how my layout turned out!
I used the July 2018 Hip Kits: the Main kit, Project Life kit, the puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit, and the white cardstock from the Cardstock kit. I hope I’ve inspired you to get out your July kits and get crafty!
